Frequently Asked Questions

Please have a look at our FAQ's before getting in touch about smaller questions - many thanks

Q: Can I bring my pet goldfish along?

A: Yes, but please be aware we have a pet heron

Accommodation

Q: How do I book a tent for a small group or couple?

A: Just send us a message in the contact form with the number and names of participants - we only charge extra if the numbers are 2 or below. The tents have a 6 person max capacity, which is for close friends only, as it's a bit snug!

Q: Can I stay in my campervan / converted van?

A: Yes if you would like to. However this is in the car parking field which is separate to the camping field and you will not be granted access to the camping field between 11pm-7am, as the gate will be locked for security. We do not offer a discount for this option. You MUST inform us of this before booking with a simple message.

Q: Do I have to camp?

A: Yes, staying onsite is part of the retreat aspect of the weekend to lose yourself in creativity and get back to roots with nature all around, waking to the sound of bird song.

Q: Can I bring my own tent?

A: Everything is provided within the package price so there is no need to bring your own tent.

Q: What are we staying in?

A: We are staying in large Bell tents or TeePees , a Traditional Nordic tent, if you have a standard booking you will be sharing in tents of 3 people. You need to bring all your own sleeping kit as the tents will be freshly cleaned and empty upon arrival. If you book a couples tent you will be staying in a smaller 2 person tent.

Facilities

Q: Can I charge my devices?

A: We have very limited power for participants to use, its best to bring a battery pack to charge phones.

Q: What's the security like at the event?

A: We have a passive aggressive heron, the site will have team members on it throughout the day and night and the camping field is locked at night. We do everything in our power to keep security concerns at the top of our priority list. We cannot, however, take responsibility for your own valuables over the weekend.

Q: Can I park my car onsite?

A: Yes, we have ample field car parking. Valuables should not be kept in your vehicle overnight.

Q: What are the facilities?

A: We have compost loos (accessed via a small set of stairs) which are cleaned regularly. A shower block - yes, with hot water! A 24/7 hot drink and snack area, under cover seating and a few fantastic woodland and outdoor teaching areas. We run off solar power so we do not have enough power to charge phones or devices as this is what will be keeping your showers hot!
